 Rick Schrenker

Associate Pastor

 Pastoral Care, Outreach, Visitation Ministry

Rick is a native of Cincinnati and a 1970 graduate of Colerain High School. He was saved as a teenager during his senior year of high school. Rick graduated from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio with a BS in French secondary education and a minor in Spanish. He also received his M.Ed degree in educational leadership from Miami in 1981.

Rick spent thrity-one years in the field of education as a public school teacher, Christian School teacher, principal, and head administrator. He served in the ministry of Landmark Christian School in Cincinnati for twenty-one years and at Calvary Christian School in Covington, Kentucky for nine years.

In June of 2005, Rick was called to the pastoral staff of Friendship Baptist Church. He and his wife Diane currently reside in Fairfield, Ohio. They have two married children, four grandsons, and one granddaughter.

Associate Pastor

Music, Education & Communications Ministry

God has given me the opportunity to serve as one of the Associate Pastor’s at Friendship Baptist Church. I have the responsibility for our music, communication, special events and education (children and adults).

God has blessed me with a wonderful wife, Liane, and two great children. Liane and I have had the privilege to serve together both at Friendship and on mission trips. God used an incredible missionary, Eduardo Lessa, from Brazil to capture my heart for God’s service. It was during a visit with Bro. Lessa’s daughter and son to his mission in the Amazon Basin that I realized I needed to surrender my life to Him. I had been a Christian since my early teens, but God has much more in store for us than just salvation through His sinless son, Jesus Christ. At the time I was in college for engineering, so I was able to finish my degree at Purdue University and get a job with the company for which I had co-oped. It was not six months after graduation that God started opening doors to allow me to start working and serving Him at Friendship. After five years of volunteer work as our music director and one of our youth leaders, God opened the door for me to come on staff full time in 2000.

I have been blessed to work with two supportive pastors that have given me the freedom to grow and create ministry opportunities. If I can ever be of help to you or if you have questions about Friendship or your relationship with the Lord, please feel free to contact me.
